SAN ANTONIO — A star-studded crowd filled Frost Bank Center on Wednesday night as the New York Knicks faced the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Among the celebrities in attendance were several longtime Knicks supporters, including actors Ben Stiller and Timothée Chalamet, filmmaker Spike Lee, comedian Tracy Morgan and former NHL star Henrik Lundqvist. Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal was also spotted.
The game also attracted prominent figures from the sports and entertainment industries, including Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro, and former CEO Bob Iger, ESPN Chairman James Pitaro and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. Singer-songwriter Tori Kelly was among those attending as well.
The Knicks, making their first NBA Finals appearance in more than two decades, delivered a strong performance to open the series. New York defeated San Antonio 105-95 to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven championship series.
