Celebrity medium Tyler Henry is on the road to recovery after undergoing his second brain surgery in six months, after he first went under the knife to remove most of a colloid tumor near the center of his brain.
Musician and artist Clint Godwin, who married the “Life After Death” star in May, revealed the news that his husband required another procedure to address swelling as the cyst recurred.
“As you might remember, my husband, Tyler Henry, underwent brain surgery in May 2025,” Godwin shared on Instagram late Thursday night. “However, over the past month, symptoms of swelling slowly returned. Tyler’s medical team decided another surgery to address the recurring cyst and swelling was the best option.”
The operation, which occurred earlier that day, marked Henry’s third brain surgery overall. The 29-year-old was just 18 when doctors first discovered a “congenital brain cyst that led to emergency surgery after weeks of headaches,” he revealed in 2023.
“They say the third time is a charm!” Godwin wrote on Instagram, letting Henry’s fans know he was “recovering well.”
“A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has taken a moment to think of Tyler and our family over the past couple of days,” the message concluded.
Earlier this year, Henry shared an update about the procedure when his tumor was mostly removed.
“Great prognosis, incredible staff and I feel so thankful to be surrounded by my family,” the clairvoyant wrote in a May 14 Instagram post. “I’ll be on bedrest for a month and look forward to getting back to doing readings.”
The surgery came just a week after he and Godwin tied the knot at the Beverly Hills Courthouse on May 7. The couple, who met through one of Henry’s readings, have been together since 2016.
A colloid tumor is a slow-growing and benign brain cyst that is often asymptomatic. However, issues can arise if the cyst blocks the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, leading to increased pressure in the brain. Symptoms can include headaches, nausea, vomiting, memory loss and difficulty walking.
Henry said in 2023 that it wasn’t until he was 18 that a “mass [he] was born with” was only then “causing a life-threatening situation.”
