Cuban All-Stars to Celebrate Celia Cruz’s 100th Birthday

In honor of the legendary Celia Cruz’s birth in 1925, a star-studded lineup of Cuban artists will come together on Saturday (Aug. 9) at Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park for a free evening of music, dance, and cultural celebration. In association with Telemundo 47, salsa performer Issac Delgado, Grammy-winning artist Aymee Nuviola, percussion powerhouse Brenda Navarrete, and Afro-Cuban jazz singer Melvis Santa will headline this tribute that celebrates the Queen of Salsa. Fans can also warm up with a free salsa class at 7:00 pm EST, courtesy of Talia Productions dancers.

Fuerza Regida & Dos Equis unveil merch line benefiting the Mexican-American community

Dos Equis and Fuerza Regida have joined forces to launch an exclusive merchandise line inspired by the “Ni Perdón, Ni Permiso” campaign, celebrating “unapologetic self-expression through music, art and fashion,” says the press release. Featuring unique pieces designed by Mexican-American artists — including cholo-styled hoodie jackets, t-shirts, and personalized biker vests — the limited-edition collection is available via online auction until August 19. Proceeds will benefit the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), headquartered near the band’s hometown of San Bernardino and “one of the largest Latino-oriented social services organizations in the U.S.,” says the press release.

Anuel AA Rocks Sold-Out GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City

Anuel AA ruled the stage on Sunday (Aug. 3), selling out the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City with over 60,000 fans as part of his Real Hasta la Muerte 2 tour. According to social media footage, the crowd sang along to “Little Demon,” the first single from his upcoming 2025 album Real Hasta la Muerte 2. A highlight of the night was the surprise appearance of Natanael Cano, performing their hit collaboration “Como Es;” the also sang two unreleased tracks together, according to the press release. The Puerto Rican rapper kicked off his U.S. leg on Friday (Aug. 8) in San Jose, Calif. at SAP Center. Check out the full dates here.

Billboard Announces More Artists for Latin Music Week 2025

Billboard announced its second wave of artists that will be present at Latin Music Week on October 20-24 at The Fillmore Miami Beach. Those artists include Anuel AA, Pablo Alborán, Silvana Estrada, Carín León, Ozuna, Laura Pausini, Myke Towers, and more who will join panels, showcases, and networking opportunities. “Billboard Latin Music Week has continuously evolved with the times; that’s how we’ve remained a cornerstone of the industry for over three decades, said Leila Cobo, chief content officer of Billboard Latin/Español. The week coincides with the Billboard Latin Music Awards, airing Oct. 23 on Telemundo and Peacock. Tickets are on sale now at BillboardLatinMusicWeek.com.
