We’ve been expecting big news from Celine Dion and this morning, the powerhouse singer has confirmed she is returning to the stage.
After years of struggling with significant health challenges, the much-loved performer said she is ready for 10 shows in Paris this September and October.
“I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you, once again – in Paris,” Dion said in a video posted to her Instagram account.

“I am so ready to do this. I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited… obviously… of course a little nervous, but most of all I am grateful.”
The announcement comes on Dion’s 58th birthday and the Eiffel Tower will be lit up to commemorate the occasion and announcement of her new shows.
And Taylor Swift is in the news as well, no surprises there.
Although this time she’s at the centre of a trademark lawsuit, surrounding her latest album – The Life of a Showgirl.
Taylor is being sued by performer, Maren Wade, who has a trademark over the phrase, Confessions of a Showgirl, using this for her weekly column, podcast, live shows and music.
She’s accusing Swift of infringement, false designation and unfair competition.
Wade’s lawyer said the performer shouldn’t have to watch 12 years of building a brand disappear because someone bigger came along.
Swift is yet to comment, but it seems this new era could meet a similar Fate of Ophelia.
And in bad news from the set of the new Tomb Raider streaming series, filming has been paused after star Sophie Turner was injured.
British tabloids have reported a pre-existing back injury has been aggravated and this was confirmed by a representative from the production.
It is unclear when filming will resume, but hopefully Turner is on the mend soon.
