“The Voice” season 28 finale is underway, and all six finalists have had the chance to perform for their coaches and for America to see who will win the singing competition.

Adams County native Aubrey Nicole on Monday night performed her final two songs, “‘Til You Can’t” by Cody Johnson, and “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” by Reba McEntire.

“The Voice” coach and rapper Snoop Dogg shared his thoughts first about Nicole’s performance.

“Aubrey, you deserve to be here,” Snoop Dog said. “You are phenomenal. This was one of the greatest performances I’ve seen you do. You just get better every time you hit that stage. Go on, girl.”

Nicole’s coach, Reba McEntire, also shared her thoughts about Nicole’s performance, noting how happy she was with the 20-year-old singer.

“Aubrey, I’m so proud of you,” McEntire said. “You’re beautiful inside and out. I couldn’t be more proud.”

Later on in the night, Nicole returned to the stage for a heartfelt performance of “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia.”

McEntire again congratulated Nicole on another powerful performance.

“Well, I’ve loved that song forever,” McEntire said. “Vicki Lawrence had a number one record on it. I loved it, so I recorded it, and look what you’re doing with it. Congratulations, girl, you knocked it out of the park.”

On Dec. 1, the first episode of the “Playoffs” premiered, featuring singers from Reba McEntire’s and Michael Bublé’s teams competing for a spot in the Season 28 finale.

Nicole wowed her coach with a cover of “Black Velvet” by Alannah Myles, securing her a place in the finale.

After making her decision, McEntire shared more about why she chose Nicole.

“I chose Aubrey because she has a way of portraying a lot of emotion,” McEntire said. “That’s what music is supposed to be about. I definitely think Aubrey has a shot to win the whole competition.”

Nicole displayed that emotion during her finale performance, and told PennLive recently that she hopes to prove herself as an artist no matter what happens with the show.

“My family is so excited,” Nicole said. “I could not be more grateful; they’ve always been supportive of what I do. This whole experience has not only been incredible for me, but also for them.”

“Thank you to everybody who has supported me this far,” Nicole added. “I want to make everyone proud in the finale, no matter what happens.”

Fans at home can vote for who they want to win the season 28 finale by downloading the “The Voice” app or by visiting NBC.com/VoiceVote. Voting is open from now until 7 a.m. ET/ 6 a.m. CT Tuesday.

The final episode and season 28 winner will be announced on Tuesday during the 9 p.m. live episode, which will feature performances from artists such as K-pop group XG, Journey, and pop artist Khalid.

“The Voice” can be viewed on NBC or streamed on Peacock.
