Channing Tatum has recently talked about the challenges of fatherhood while promoting new movie, Josephine, at Sundance Film Festival.
The American actor, who shares 12-year-old daughter Everly with ex-wife Jenna Dewan, explains that he’s able to understand the difficulties behind his character because of his real-life experience as a father.
While speaking to E! News at the movie’s Sundance Film Festival premiere on January 23, Channing admits that parenting is “hard” and it “changes day-to-day”
Magic Mike actor reveals that every day is different, adding, “Sometimes you have to be the tough parent, and then other times, you need to be their soft buddy where you just love ’em and that’s it.”

However, Channing shares what inspired him to take on the role of Damien in the Beth de Araújo-directed thriller.
“It’s a different character than I am in my life,” explains the 45-year-old.
Channing mentions that he took a lot from his own father in a way.
“I think Damien is a bit of a mix between myself and my dad,” points out Dear John actor.
Elsewhere in the interview, Channing also discloses that the hardest part of his fatherhood journey is not “being cool enough” for his tween daughter.
Although she has watched many of his movies, she is not impressed by any of them.
“She’s like, ‘Whatever, I don’t wanna see those,’” he tells the outlet.
