Chet Faker is bringing his world tour to Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Australian artist’s ‘A Love For Strangers World Tour’ will take him to Auckland Town Hall on Saturday, September 12th (see full details below).

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 5th at 12pm local time. The Westpac New ZealandMastercard pre-sale begins on Thursday, June 4th at 11am local time. Westpac Mastercard cardholders also have access to exclusive preferred tickets from Friday, June 5th at 12pm local time. The Live Nation pre-sale, meanwhile, commences on Thursday, June 4th at 11am local time.

Faker is touring in support of his latest album A Love for Strangers, out now via BMG.

The record sees Nick Murphy — the ARIA-winning songwriter, musician, and producer behind Chet Faker — come full circle, returning to the sense of restless exploration that inspired his earliest work.

In a career defined by restless creativity – spanning albums under his birth name, including the lauded instrumental work Music For Silence, and collaborations with artists like Flume and Marcus Marr, A Love for Strangers offers yet more proof that Faker’s extraordinary musical explorations are only just beginning.

Across the album’s 12 songs, Faker ruminates on heartbreak and uncertainty on a grand scale – asking questions about how we relate to each other, examining the ways in which we fail to do so, and extending a necessary sense of hope when it comes to repairing our relationships with the world around us.

Faker recently completed an Australian album tour as well as a 21-date North American run through April and May. Before his Aotearoa visit, he’ll head to Europe for a run of shows in July.
