Cheap Trick returned to Budokan in late 2025.
And, based on the footage from the event, it appears it was indeed a most welcome return the band best known for the legendary late-’70s concert album “Cheap Trick at Budokan.”
Interested parties can check out some of this cool footage — of both the band and its loyal fans at the famed concert venue in Tokyo — by dialing up Cheap Trick’s new video for “The Best Thing” on YouTube.
The video captures “the special connection shared by the band, the country of Japan, and their incredible Japanese fans — a bond as alive today as it was in 1978 when Cheap Trick first played the iconic venue,” according to a news release.
Plus, you get to watch by Rick Nielsen play guitar, which is always a treat.
