Chevy Chase slams Saturday Night Live after being left out of their 50th anniversary special earlier this year. Chase was an original cast member and the first SNL Weekend Update host during the show’s debut season, which ran from 1975-1976. After exiting the series during season 2, he returned to host numerous times in later years.
In the upcoming documentary I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not from celebrity.land Films, the comedian and actor reveals that he was “hurt” to not be featured in the 50th anniversary special. He explains that he struggled to see Garrett Morris, Laraine Newman, and other original cast members on the stage while he was excluded. Check out his comments below:
