Some of the most hotly-tipped Oscar contenders will be among the star-studded lineup at the Berlin Film Festival this month, as they make a pit-stop at Berlinale on their way to L.A.
Among those confirmed to attend are “Hamnet” director Chloé Zhao, who is set to present an award at the festival, as well as best actor contender Ethan Harke, who will be in Berlin to debut historical drama “The Weight,” in which he co-stars with Russell Crowe.
Other names set to grace the festival are Sophie Okonedo, Bella Ramsey, Callum Turner, Sandra Hüller, Juliette Binoche, Isabelle Huppert, Amanda Seyfried, Sam Riley, Rupert Grint and James Norton.
Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan will also be on hand to showcase their upcoming feature “Josephine,” while Binoche is supporting “Queen at Sea” alongside Tom Courtenay and Florence Hunt and Huppert brings “The Blood Countess.” Ramsey will join co-star Neil Patrick Harris in support of “Sunny Dancer” while the cast of “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die” – including Sam Rockwell, Juno Temple, Zazie Beetz and Haley Lu Richardson – will also be attending.
The opening gala will see Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh be honored with the Golden Bear award, presented by Sean Baker, while Zhao is set to award “Hamnet” composer Max Richter with the Berlinale Camera.
Wim Wenders will also attend in his capacity as head of the Berlinale jury.
