Noise Music: Nolan Hildebrand Talks About His New Album Noise Trip Explosion

With his latest release “Brightly,” Chris Tracy leans into the quiet beauty of everyday life, offering listeners a moment of calm in uncertain times. Rooted in reggae and guided by an intuitive creative process, the track reflects his belief in letting music unfold naturally — capturing themes of hope, resilience, and presence. For Chris, this song marks a turning point, both creatively and personally, as he steps into a more confident era of artistry and prepares to share more music than ever before.

Chris, your upcoming song highlights the beauty of the world during uncertain times. What inspired this message and the emotions behind it?
My new song, “Brightly”, highlights all the day-to-day blessings this world provides us that we often overlook in the daily stresses of human life. Highlighting the beauty in the changing of seasons and all the little things that we have around us to indulge in when the going gets and sometimes stays tough. The song formed around the pre-chorus of the song “all of these beautiful things… they make me believe” really set the tone for the direction of this track; it made the rest of the song come together like glue over the course of just a couple of writing sessions.

As a reggae artist, how does your sound and style help convey themes of hope and resilience in your music?
As a working musician in the ’26 CA music scene, even more so as a reggae artist, creating a unique sound is essential to being heard, especially in the new social media era we have today. I’d say one of the key things I do that makes those particular themes come across in my music is letting a song take its own natural course when it comes to studio production. That will only make sense to certain people, so for anyone curious what I mean is I usually start with writing lyrics and once I put those to chords I take it strait into my home studio and start creating demos, remaining “hopeful” that each creative session will bring exactly what the song calls for in the moment, I sort-of find myself in a state of call and response that only really comes from that deep creative state. I feel like that hope carries into the songs I release and (hopefully) connects emotionally to my listeners, even when the themes of a song might not be to bring that particular message every time, although this one definitely does.

What was the creative process like for this particular track, and how does it differ from your previous work?
Honestly, my last few releases I have used a more linear process when I was recording them, as far as the result it differs in the mix, because as with anything, we get better at what we do over time. The creative process was fun on this one though. I wrote the initial chord progression for fun one night and brought it to the attention of a band I’m working with right now, (dazZzed), but it wasn’t really a solid fit at the time, so it sat in my pocket for a couple months until I came back to it after hearing some troubling world news.

In a time where many people feel overwhelmed, what do you hope listeners take away after hearing your song?
Now there’s something we can all relate to, being overwhelmed. With everything going on in our communities, states, country and globally, how could anyone not be. My hopes for the listeners of this song specifically is to slow down and just take a look around, there is so much to be appreciated around us. Take that deep breath, stare at the stars, and watch the trees sway in the wind. I know we are all worried about so many problems, try and get some peace from the incredible things this planet offers us every second of the day, take a second to reset yourself, you deserve it.

Looking ahead, how does this release reflect your direction as an artist and what’s next for you?
This song is everything to me right now, it encapsulates everything behind and everything ahead of me. Musically, personally, and professionally. I, like many others, have always struggled with having confidence in my artistry, and something along the way just finally clicked with this release, as well as my last one. I feel more inspired than ever & I see myself putting out more releases in the next year than I have in the last decade.
