Chrissy Teigen has always been extremely honest about what, when, and how she eats. But even by her standards, her latest confession is questionably bizarre (and oddly specific). On Netflix’s Dinner Time Live with David Chang, the “Cravings” author laid out her exact late-night ritual with military precision—and yes, of course, John Legend is involved.
“I take my nighttime medications at 10 p.m., and then I wake up again at 1,” she told hosts David Chang and Diplo. “I place my order, it gets to me by 2. I eat it by 2:15, and then I go back to bed…every night without fail.” The order varies—sometimes a “good” night is hard-boiled eggs, sometimes it’s a sandwich, and sometimes it’s straight-up Del Taco.
When a sandwich craving hits, Teigen doesn’t even need a delivery app as she has an in-house chef/husband. “I can nudge him and be like, ‘Babe, I want a sandwich,’” she said. Teigen lovingly dubbed him “sandwich robot,” meaning he’ll “fully go downstairs,” assemble the late-night special, return it to bed, and conk back out. Efficient! Romantic! Slightly terrifying!
Chang admitted he assumed the nightly snack saga sounded…unlikely.
