Riverbend Players director Frank Squillo decribes the latest show, “The Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon” by Don Zelidis as “a hilarious parody of the classic holiday TV movie formula — think Hallmark and Lifetime.”
The play opens 7 p.m. Dec. 5 at the North County Recreation District Performing Arts Center, at 36155 Ninth St., Nehalem.
Performances continue 7 p.m. Dec. 6, Dec. 12-13 and Dec. 19-20 with 2 p.m. matinees on Dec. 7, 14 and 21.
Set in a cozy inn during Christmas, the play follows seven predictable, intertwined love stories filled with small-town charm, romantic misunderstandings, and holiday magic.
From a workaholic executive finding love to a secret prince hiding in plain sight, the show is designed to cover every cliché, trope, and heartwarming twist of holiday movies.
Tickets are $20 to $25, online at riverbendplayers.org.
