Ciara Miller is stepping into her power.
On the heels of the third and final part of the highly anticipated Summer House season 10 reunion, the reality star is embracing a new era with the help of Nexxus. To launch the new Air Shape Workable Hold Texture Spray, Miller fronts the haircare brand’s “Claim Your Space” campaign, which “celebrates the defiant power of presence,” per a press release.
At 30, Miller is not only welcoming the future, but very much ready to leave reality show romance drama in the past. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, she says the Nexxus partnership is “perfect timing.”
“I feel like it’s definitely a new chapter to put everything behind me and step into this new energy and that is obviously taking up space in every way that I know possible, starting with my hair,” she says. “I’m honestly excited for this next chapter. I’m excited to put things behind me.”
Miller’s relationship with Nexxus began when she teamed up with the brand for her Met Gala debut in May. “The team was just incredible, but I also really loved their products,” she says. “I feel like the concept of taking up space is so perfect for where I’m at right now.”

Earlier this month, Miller made her music video debut in Shaboozey’s “Cowgirl.” Just a few days after speaking with PEOPLE, she heads to Fiji to cohost Love Island USA‘s companion series, Aftersun, along with Tefi Pessoa.
“I feel like all my attention is being drawn into that and I’m excited,” she says of her hosting gig. “I’m excited to meet the Islanders. I’m excited to dig deep and have great conversations with them. I’m excited to see Ariana [Madix] and be able to watch her in her flow state. I’m just excited to be a part of something that I’ve watched for so long.”
Similar to Madix, Miller’s willingness to speak her mind has made her a fan-favorite Bravo star. Her confidence leaps off of the screen, but Miller says it’s something she’s “had to build over the years.”
“Being on TV is a whole other layer to it,” she says. “I think that I do surround myself with really strong women and strong people and just women with a ton of range. My mom was always like, ‘You are a product of the five people you hang out with.’ And so I try to surround myself with people that I admire and are vocal and have an opinion because they definitely help me stand in my truth more and be confident.”

Miller’s hair serves as a reflection of her confidence, and for her, a simple routine is key.
“When I’m just out running errands by myself, [I’m] a minimalist for sure. I want to just be able to put some texture. I like the Air Shape Workable Hold Texture Spray.”

“It gives me the volume that I need,” she continues. “I don’t need to sit in front of the mirror for an hour … I kind of like to keep it easy, but I do love products. I’m still just a girl. I love products.”

As her career continues to skyrocket, Miller knows it’s all eyes on her — and she wants to set an example.
“I get a ton of DMs of people being like, ‘It’s so nice to see someone stand up for themselves and be very unapologetic,'” she reflects. “It’s kind of surreal. I wasn’t always like this. It takes work, but I feel like it comes a lot from the moral standing that I refuse to sacrifice in this process.
She continues, “I do recognize there are girls that are younger than me watching this. There are girls older than me watching this. There are girls all around that are watching this. And so I think it’s the greatest honor to be an example for them.”
