“Late Night” host Seth Meyers torched President Donald Trump after his name was unceremoniously removed from the facade of the Kennedy Center over the weekend.
“Imagine being so disliked that a crowd forms to watch your name get taken off of something,” Meyers said, referring to the crowds of people who gathered to watch Trump’s name being removed. “Generally speaking, when you erase something, that’s because it was a mistake.”
“You know, Trump’s the only guy on earth who could get people excited about Wite-Out, which, fun fact, is also what he’s been applying to his hand,” he continued.
Meyers said Trump’s name getting removed was clearly a sore subject with the president, evident by the tarp workers put up to block the public from physically seeing the letters being taken off.
“Now, Trump was clearly very sensitive about this because the workers put up a tarp to hide what they were doing. He literally did a cover-up,” Meyers said.
“The only way this could have been more on the nose [is] if instead of putting a tarp over his name, they just had it redacted,” he continued while showing a photo-edited picture of Trump’s named blacked out from the facade.
