Simone Cromer, the internet figure formerly known as Club Chalamet, allegedly got into a physical altercation outside of a Paris hotel.
On Tuesday (June 23), X posts began circulating alleging the 59-year-old fan was “jumped” while awaiting the departure of Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie from his hotel during Paris Fashion Week.
“CLUB CHALAMET GOT JUMPED GUYS,” a fan account dedicated to Storrie posted on X. “And security knew who she was, they were literally standing right in front of her when Connor came out.” They also tagged a fellow fan account, @mikadontyoudare, “thanking” them for the fight, which they confirmed. (The alleged person who assaulted Cromer goes by they/them pronouns, although Cromer addresses them as “she”)

In a thread, Cromer recounted her side of the events, alleging that she booked a trip to Paris to visit family and made a stop to catch Storrie outside his hotel. Due to the heat, she wore protective gear to avoid sun damage, effectively masking her identity. However, Cromer “noticed a particular woman looking at me as if she knew who I was” and alleges they began telling other people about the famous fan’s presence.
With Storrie’s arrival imminent, Cromer recalls the alleged assailant being pushed further back due to crowd control measures. Then she felt “someone grabbing my backpack with such force…out of anger,” which she discovered was the person allegedly staring at her. A verbal spat ensued, with the latter calling Cromer a “bitch,” to which she retaliated by calling her a “c*nt.” Cromer got a photo of them, and they allegedly shouted at her, calling her a stalker.
As fans attempted to get one last glimpse of Storrie as he got into his car, Cromer alleges she got into an “embarrassing brief scuffle” with the fellow fan. “It was humiliating. All I wanted to do was leave after standing there for over 2 hours and being gawked at, assaulted, verbally harassed, and her trying to remove my mask.”

Cromer went on to request the person’s social media username to block them. “I really need a break from this because people are so eager to embrace this lie of calling me a stalker,” she wrote.
“I’m too busy for such a degrading activity, it insults my intelligence. I regret not walking away after realizing that quite a few people waiting at the hotel, have policed the fandom so much so online, that they are policing it in the real world.”
Upon posting a call requesting the person’s information, the fan allegedly responsible for the scuffle quoted the post and told Cromer, “hi babe 🙂 just stopped you from running towards connor and assaulting him, security can back me up, so can many fans.”

Cromer was formally introduced in a Wall Street Journal article, where she detailed her campaign to help Chalamet win an Academy Award for Best Actor, which eventually went to Sinners star Michael B. Jordan.
The controversial figure was criticized for her seemingly parasocial and obsessive relationship with the young actor, frequently seeing his movies multiple times in theaters, attending premieres and sightings, and maintaining popular social media accounts dedicated to Chalamet, which occasionally included a vocal disdain for his relationship with Kylie Jenner.
Cromer would go on to distance herself from the actor after his failed awards campaign for Marty Supreme, for which he left empty-handed from all the major ceremonies. In an Instagram post announcing the shocking move, she wrote, “Things have changed in this fandom in such a significant way that we also have to adjust to the changes and focus on other interests that simply bring us joy.”
“Once I don’t fully believe in it anymore, I have to recenter my focus on things I believe in and that make me happy,” she wrote. “So much has changed from what we all initially signed up for that it doesn’t resemble what lured us here in the first place,” she added, citing an unspecified experience that sowed the seeds of doubt in the superfan.
Cromer has since shifted her focus to Storrie, who found a massive audience with the success of the gay hockey romance drama Heated Rivalry. Her crossover into a new fandom remains controversial, with the fervent fans of the show worried that Cromer’s reputation could spell danger for the actor.
