It has been suggested that Marlborough College, the boarding school attended by George’s mother, Princess Catherine, may be more favourable, especially as it is a school for both boys and girls.
This means that when Charlotte and Louis reach the age of 13 and move up to secondary school, they could again be at the same school as their elder brother.
A source told Vanity Fair: “While Eton would be the obvious choice because it is on their doorstep and where William went, they are leaning towards other schools.
“I’m hearing Marlborough is the front-runner. I think if they can, they would love for all three children to be at school together, which puts Marlborough as the top choice.”
This has not been confirmed by Prince William and Princess Catherine, who have reportedly not yet chosen George’s next school.
It is believed Kensington Palace will confirm George’s secondary school this year before he makes the move.
Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will remain at Lambrook together until they also reach secondary school age.
