Tibbits Opera House, 14 S. Hanchett St., Coldwater, will host its annual Monster Fest on Oct. 11.
The event will feature live music and a film screening, according to a community announcement.
The evening will begin at 8:30 p.m. with a performance by 5 Good Reasons, a Coldwater-based punk band. The trio includes Morgan Thomas on guitar and vocals, Joline Stoneberg on bass and vocals, and Pansy Goheen on drums.
Following the concert, Tibbits will screen the 1987 cult classic “The Monster Squad” at 9 p.m. The film follows a group of pre-teens who idolize classic Universal monster movies. They find themselves facing Count Dracula and other monsters, who are looking for an amulet that would let them take over the world. “The Monster Squad” is rated PG-13 for some foul language, scary scenes and gore.
Doors for the event will open at 7:30 p.m., with seating beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are priced at $10, which includes fees. Concessions, including alcoholic beverages, will be available for purchase. Outside food or drink is not permitted inside the theater.
For more information or to purchase tickets, visit Tibbits.org, call 517-278-6029 or visit the Tibbits office at 93 W. Chicago St., during business hours.
