The Loose Women presenter is on the latest series to find love
Coleen Nolan was left mortified after facing a double rejection in her search for love on the latest episode of Celebs Go Dating.
Celebs Go Dating first aired on our screens back in 2016, with a group of famous faces hoping that a dating agency would be the ones to find them love. The first series saw Joey Essex, Tyger Drew-Honey and Charlotte Crosby hopeful that they’d go on a date that would finally be the end of their singledom.
Last year, stars like Kerry Katona and Christine McGuiness turned up at the agency, hoping that Paul C Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr Tara could lend a helping hand. Viewers were pleased to hear then, that earlier this year a new series of the dating show had been confirmed. Loose Women star Coleen Nolan is one of the singles hoping to find love on this year’s instalment.

The 61-year-old has been married and divorced on two occasions. She was initially married to EastEnders actor Shane Richie in 1990 before divorcing in 1999. The pair had two sons together, Jake Roche and Shane Nolan. Coleen went to get engaged to musician Ray Fensome, who she shares daughter Ciara Fensome with, on her 40th birthday in 2005. Trying the knot in 2007, the pair got divorced back in 2018.
Coleen has been very honest in her romantic relationships, and has expressed: “I had an affair when I was married, and I would never condone it. I don’t really want to make excuses for it but mine was very different to his [Coleen’s ex].
“Although I tried to stand out and be great and the perfect wife, I was getting ignored. You know, I was just the mother of the children.
“I never set out to have an affair but then I met this guy, who all of a sudden showered me with attention and was like ‘you’re so attractive, you’re so gorgeous’.”
In the latest episode, Coleen faced a double rejection as neither of her two dates stood up for her. As she stood on her own, she said: “I literally want the ground to swallow me up. I’m mortified. I’m really hurt, actually, because I really did think that Steve would stand up, because I thought we had a great connection.”
Taking to the comments, Andrea McLean wrote: “Ohhhhh nooooo Col” to which Coleen responded: “I know right! Mortified”. @andytwentythree added: “OMG Are they blind?? Colleen is fabulous!! Honestly can’t believe not one of you stood up!! Don’t sweat it Colleen! Their loss!! You’re gorgeous!!”
Another recent episode of the series saw Coleen going on her her first date of the show with a man named Neil. Despite finding him to be a ‘really nice man’ Coleen didn’t feel ‘any connection’ or ‘attraction to him’.
Having his say on why she told Neil that she’d want to see him again in spite of not wanting to, relationship expert Paul C Brunson said: “That is the epitome of people pleasing.” To which Coleen replied: “I don’t know if it’s people pleasing, I just don’t want to hurt people.”
