ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Actor and comedian Martin Lawrence will be bringing his “Y’all Still Know What It Is!” standup tour to Rockford early next year.
Hard Rock Live, inside the Hard Rock Casino Rockford, announced Tuesday that Lawrence will bring his one-hour set to the stage on January 23rd, accompanied by a roster of other comedians.
“Comedy gives me that instant gratification,” Lawrence said, according to press notes. “Seeing the fans up close and in person, making people laugh, doing what I love most, this is what it’s all about for me. But hey…y’all know what it is!”
Lawrence launched his comedy career at the Improv Comedy Club in New York City, and has featured roles in films such as Do The Right Thing, House Party, Boomerang, Big Momma’s House, Life, and the Bad Boys movie franchise, alongside Will Smith.
He also starred in his own comedy TV show on FOX, Martin, in 1992.
Tickets for Martin’s show go on sale Friday, October 3rd at 10 a.m.
