Following Charlie Kirk’s death, some of his supporters accused “South Park” of fostering hostility toward him. One user on X claimed the show had “fomented the hatred necessary to get Kirk assassinated,” while another went so far as to say Parker and Stone were “responsible.”

Charlie Kirk Responds To ‘South Park’ Parody

Before his assassination, Kirk himself had embraced the parody. He reposted clips from the episode to his social media and told “Fox News” that he was flattered by the attention. “Honestly, my first reaction is that I kinda laughed,” Kirk admitted. “They’re going to obviously make fun of me… but I think it’s kind of funny, and it kind of goes to show the cultural impact and the resonance that our movement has been able to achieve. Posting on X, Kolvet said Kirk would have wanted the parody episode to remain available. “Hey @paramountplus, as someone who can speak with some authority on this, Charlie loved that he was featured in ‘South Park,'” Kolvet wrote. “He told me many times. He would want the episode back up.”
