Could TS13 be coming soon? Taylor Swift was spotted leaving Electric Lady Studios in New York City this week, arriving at 8pm on Monday and leaving at around 6am the morning after – a marathon nine-hour recording sesh that has prompted speculation that a new album could be well on its way.
Videos of the singer leaving the studio – Swift’s longtime go-to recording space, where she recorded everything from Folklore and Midnights to Taylor’s Version re-releases – show her with Alana and Danielle Haim, two thirds of the female rock band HAIM, who featured on Swift’s 2020 album Evermore. Swift was also recently spotted with the sisters celebrating the victory of the Kansas City Chiefs American football team, prompting speculation that another collab could be incoming.
When will Taylor Swift’s new album be released?
There has been no official confirmation of new music or collaborations with Haim, but a source said to US Weekly in April that Swift ‘does have another record in the works’. The source said: ‘There’s no pressure to release it anytime soon. It’s still very much in the creative stages.’
Swift recently released the new song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’, recorded exclusively for the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, nodding to her country roots. It follows her latest album, The Life Of A Showgirl, released last October.
When is Taylor Swift getting married to Travis Kelce?
Meanwhile, Swift has been busy planning her wedding to fiancé Travis Kelce after the engagement was confirmed last summer.
The date of the wedding has been kept tightly under wraps. However, at a press conference on Monday, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani seemingly confirmed that the ceremony is set to take place in the city in early July, noting that the FIFA World Cup ‘coincides with July 4th, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding, all happening at the same time…’
Mamdani went on to clarify that he had not been invited to the ceremony. ‘I wish them a lovely wedding,’ he said. ‘I’ll listen to “Only the Young” at home on my own.’
A mayor’s office city official noted the comments were based on a prior report from TMZ that Swift had applied for a permit at Madison Square Garden for July 4 weekend. However, the couple have not confirmed the date or venue of the ceremony.
