CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A group of Cincinnati City Council members plan to introduce a resolution that would direct $8 million toward construction of the Farmer Music Center, the new music facility being built on the site of the former Coney Island.
Council member Anna Albi is sponsoring the resolution, with co-sponsorship from Ryan James, Evan Nolan, Meeka Owens and Seth Walsh. The money would be used for construction costs.
The Farmer Music Center’s total cost is currently $160 million. The venue is expected to seat 20,000 people when it is completed in the spring of next year.
The resolution is set to go before council on Wednesday.
