Each week, the team at Countrytown finds the best new country songs to add to our weekly playlist, The Country Drop. Here’s our picks released this week, July 10, 2026.
The Country Drop Playlist
The ‘Drop’ is back for another week. This time there’s some hot Aussie releases punching above their weight along with some cracking Nashville tunes and even one from Canada. here are the ten best tracks released this week, available for your earholes right now on The Country Drop.
You can listen to the full playlist on Spotify or Apple Music.
Tucker Wetmore – Who Told You That
Tucker is bringing the party on this cruisy summer banger Who Told You That. Grab a Corona, cut a slice of lime and get ready for a day at the pool. Or if it’s too cold where you are, close your eyes and take yourself there!
Zac & George – Longneck Weekend
If you haven’t headed to the pool yet, there’s still time. The boys are even SINGING about the slice of lime in this one. They are from Australia but are clearly aiming this one squarely at a Nashville summer. Whether it’s a rooftop bar in Nashville or a sitting around the fire at an Aussie camp ground, this one’s the soundtrack for your July.
Dear Tommie – Heaven’s On Hold
You only get your debut EP once and Dear Tommie (otherwise known to her parents as Jessica Holbrok) is leaving nothing on the table. Born and bred in Tamworth, this is a truly international sound proving that these days, Aussie artists are smashing down the Nashville doors from day one. Get in on the ground floor before this one breaks.
Brad Cox – What Are The Odds

This campaign is all about Coxy “getting back to his country roots” after his last record Endemic Intelligence in Multiple Dimensions pushed some artistic boundaries. This one’s a straight-down-the-middle love song and there’s no denying he’s hit the spot perfectly. “I could put a ring on your finger / and I’ll spin you round the dancefloor / honey you lead the way / I can take you home for Christmas / round here we don’t say grace”. Ah geez. Where do I sign?
Morgan Wade – Love’s Insane
On her first Aussie tour she wore a Kath and Kim shirt on stage, so she’s essentially a local. Recently signing to Warner, Morgan Wade has come out of the blocks strongly with Love’s Insane. Big 80s style pop production is a huge step up and creating a killer soundscape. The ‘pop’ is doing the heavy lifting in Wade’s brand of pop country and this is clearly aiming for a crossover, but it’s hard to criticise a song for being too big.
Kameron Marlowe – Makin’ Me A Liar
Ah we are suckers for a bit of soul and this one’s a cruisy Sunday arvo banger with Marlowe’s soulful vocal wrapping itself beautifully around this great tune. No stranger to Aussie shores having visited for Kane Brown’s 2024 tour, he’s due for another visit and we’ll be in the front row.
Dylan Wright – Take Me As I Am
It’s hard to believe that it was only two short years ago that Wright took the crown on Australian Idol and he’s delivered a great EP on his own terms, free of any big Idol pop baggage while still being accessible and strong. This one’s definitely worth spending some time with.
Meghan Patrick – I Sure Hope So
One of Canada’s finest, Meghan Patrick has dropped a great tune with I Sure Hope So. Six months out from the deluxe edition of Golden Child, this first taste of Patrick’s next phase as she takes fans on her journey thorugh pregnancy. Cancelling her touring plans in June to concentrate on her family with overwhelming support from fans, she is proving that an artist can still put her family first AND drop top class new tunes.
Restless Road – Forever A Go
It wouldn’t be the ‘drop’ without at least one ginormous high-production ballad and here’s your pick for this week. Restless Road have delivered with this one. Bestill my beating heart. By the way, that’s their grammatical error, not mine.
Lauren Watkins – Better Love Next Time
Nashville’s Lauren Watkins drops her third single in two months, proving that while her algorithm might be tamed, her prolific songwriting will not be. What more can we say, but this one’s well worth a listen.
