Each week, the team at Countrytown finds the best new country songs to add to our weekly playlist, The Country Drop. Here’s our picks released this week, July 3, 2026.

Another seven days have passed and we’re back to Friday, where a fresh drop of country tunes are ready for your earholes. We’ve got global superstars and the next crop, so without further ado, here are the ten best tracks released this week, available for your earholes right now on The Country Drop.

You can listen to the full playlist on Spotify or Apple Music.

Stella Lefty – Good At Leaving

It’s a big day with ‘it’ girl Stella Lefty’s EP Is This Heaven having an extra track added. With Boston still riding high at #2 on the Countrytown Hot 50, this one’s sure to impact in next week’s chart with Strummingbird as well as headline dates happening in Australia in October.

Maoli – Good On You

Kiwi multi-genre wonder Maoli has been quickly gaining fans across the world for his incredible blending of country with reggae and soul, creating a unique sound. With his album out this August, if you’re not across him yet, now’s the time. If Teddy Swims was a cowboy, he’d wish this was on his record.

Tori Forsyth – Notice The Roses

Tori is one of our all-time faves and performer at our inaugural Countrytown Awards. As a singer, songwriter and performer she won’t be pigeonholed and we always rush to any new track to see the journey she’s taking us on this time. This one’s leaning into country roots and a cracking taste of her forthcoming record.

Lily Meola – Should’ve Known Better

Join our community with our FREE weekly newsletter

One of my discoveries from this year’s CMA Fest, Lily Meola’s album is out in a couple of weeks and is already a contender for my album of the year. Should’ve Known Better is an incredible slice of country and it’s not even the best track on the record. Get excited.

Riley Green & Hannah McFarland – Go Again

Another drop from Riley Green’s new record, this duet is a beautiful ballad, showing off the light and shade. We’re still dancing to Think As You Drunk (which hit the top five in the Countrytown Hot 50 this week), but this one’s a gorgeous play with McFarland’s shimmering pop vocal contrasting beautifully with Green’s laid back style.

Craig Morgan – Blanket of Stars

Ahead of America’s semiquincentennial (yeah we looked it up and that’s 250 years), there’s nothing more poigniant than a big American country song and that’s just what Craig Morgan delivers on this one. It’s a big ballad in the tradition that nobody does better than Nashville.

Casey Barnes – She Does

With his Made For This album hitting on August 7, Casey Barnes drip feeds another tune. Showing why he’s been kicking around the top of the Aussie industry for near on 15 years, She Does is another tune that will neither surprise nor disappoint fans.

Tate Cole – Anymore

Brisbane boy Tate Cole is only four songs in, debuting last year with Purgatory, but this one’s his best yet. Produced by Jared Adlam, this one’s one to get your ears around while he’s still on the ground floor. If you’re at the Gympie Muster don’t forget to add him to your schedule. More please!

Sean Stemaly – River Road

Sean Stemaly taught himself to sing while driving a tractor. It don’t get much more country than that. Leaning into his blue collar roots, Stemaly’s debut Product of a Small Town album has amassed millions of streams and it’s time to open the door to the followup with this banger.

Kesha Neve – Better This Way

Describing herself as a “country pop storyteller”, Kesha has spent time working on farms and around the rodeo scene but is best known for her recent stint on Australian Idol. Better This Way is a fine entrance into the music world and stamps her authority as a big voice ready to climb the ladder.
