Country star Terri Clark is asking fans to keep her beloved dachshund, Charlie, in their thoughts.
On her Instagram Stories, the “Better Things to Do” singer posted a sweet photo of herself with Charlie and wrote, “Please say a prayer for my baby. She’s having a procedure done today.”
Almost immediately, fans began sending messages of love and encouragement. “Prayers for Miss Charlie,” one fan wrote. Another added, “May God direct the hands of the vet doing the surgery! God bless.”

Other followers filled the comments section with similar support:
“We love you, Charlie! Big hugs to all of you,” wrote one fan, and another added, “Sending prayers and well-wishes to Miss Charlie!”
Another admirer wrote, “Sending all the prayers to you and your fur baby!”
Clark’s connection with her pets has always been heartfelt. In a 2023 Instagram video, she introduced her dogs to fans — Oliver, a rescued Labrador retriever who will turn five in December 2025, and Charlie, her miniature dachshund who’s nearly 14 years old.
“They become your entire life and they rule the roost and run the show around here,” Clark said in that clip. “They’re my kids and I love them so much.”

She added in the caption, “Dogs. They are the best. So thankful for organizations like @PetCommunityCenter that provide affordable and accessible veterinary care to the community. If you are looking for someone to bless on #GivingTuesday, please keep them in mind!”
Clark became one of country music’s defining female voices of the 1990s, thanks to hits like “Better Things to Do,” “When Boy Meets Girl,” “If I Were You,” “Poor Poor Pitiful Me,” “Emotional Girl,” “Now That I Found You” and “You’re Easy on the Eyes.”
Over the years, she’s built a devoted fan base not only for her powerhouse vocals and traditional country sound, but also for her down-to-earth personality and the deep bond she shares with her animals.
As her loyal followers continue to send prayers for Charlie’s recovery, it’s clear that Clark’s warmth and sincerity — on and off stage — have made her one of the genre’s most beloved artists.
