Congratulations are in order for county music superstar Luke Bryan, who is marking a major career milestone.
The performer is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of his fifth studio album album Kill The Lights, which was released back on August 7, 2015. The iconic album is filled with some of Bryan’s biggest hits, including “Strip It Down” and “Home Alone Tonight.”
In fact, all six of Bryan’s singles from the album hit number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, making him the first artist in the chart’s history to reach six number one hits from a single album.
In honor of the major anniversary, Luke’s team had him record a reflective video, paying tribute to his song “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day.”
“Been 10 years of #KillTheLights, so my team asked me if my hunting and fishing got better or worse since the album came out. What do y’all think?” Bryan captioned his video.
As for how he thinks his skills have improved over the past decade, Bryan had some big accomplishments to rattle off.
“My hunting and fishing has definitely gotten way better over the last 10 years. I’ve killed my biggest deer in the last 10 years, I’ve killed my biggest elk, I’ve caught my biggest bass,” Bryan shared.
He continued, “So yeah, it’s definitely better but my ‘ol golf game’s getting pretty good too! Getting kinda tasty. Starting to beat people I never used to beat! Looking good.”
Just a few days ago, Bryan took to the stage to perform “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” in front of an a small group of fans in an intimate venue, reflecting on the fact that people still love the song all these years later.
“Lucky to get to sing these songs for y’all 10 years later #KillTheLights,” Bryan wrote on Instagram.
Congratulations on 10 years of Kill The Lights!
