Krystal Keith, the daughter of late country music legend Toby Keith, is slated to honor her father and our military in a major way during Sunday’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.
The game is slated to take place at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium at 1 p.m., and the game is also scheduled to be a part of the NFL’s Salute to Service initiative. As part of that, Keith will sing the National Anthem prior to the game. Taste of Country said she is also slated to sing two songs during a halftime performance.
The outlet said that the press release announcing the move also noted that Toby was a lifelong Steelers fan. The country music legend died on Feb. 5, 2024 after a long battle with stomach cancer.
He was 62.
Krystal Keith, 40, actually made her singing debut performing alongside her father all the way back in 2004.
She has released one album — “Whiskey and Lace” — in 2013. She has also released two extended plays — “Krystal Keith” in 2013 and “Boulder” in 2018 — on her father’s record label, Show Dog-Universal Music. Taste of Country said her best known song is “Daddy Dance With Me” which charted. The outlet said she first sang it at her wedding.
The Steelers (5-4) host the Bengals (3-6) looking for revenge. Cincinnati, led by quarterback Joe Flacco, scored the upset, 33-31, win over Pittsburgh in the teams’ first meeting back on Oct. 16.
