COUNTRY music star Nathan Carter has ramped up excitement among fans after releasing his new single ‘What’s Up’.
The track has landed on both local and national radio alongside streaming platforms – and more is on the way.
The singer is due to headline a special summer concert at the Bridge Inn Dungloe Marquee on Saturday, August 1, and he will host his popular Donegal Weekend from November 20 to November 22 at Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey.
His latest release followed closely behind his earlier hit ‘Priceless’, which was co-written with renowned producer Guy Chambers.
Both tracks have helped to build growing anticipation for Nathan’s forthcoming fulllength album.
Adding to the buzz, Nathan also teased that more new music is on the way later this year, after sharing behind-thescenes footage of himself in the studio with well-known songwriter John Bettis.
The announcement came just weeks after the Liverpool-born star confirmed he was close to securing a major record deal, describing the development as a significant boost to his career.
Speaking to ‘RSVP Country’, Carter said he was excited about the next stage of his music journey.
“I’m in the middle of getting a new record deal with a major label, which I’m very excited about,” he said.
Reflecting on his career, he noted his previous time with Decca Records before later moving into independent work, adding that support from a major label would help bring his new material to a wider audience.
“I was signed with Decca Records for a few years about 10 years back and then I went independent.
“The help of a big label will help me get my new music out there easier.”
With the country music scene remaining highly competitive, Nathan said it was important to continue evolving and releasing fresh material in order to stand out.
“I’ve new music coming next year so there will be a lot of new music in my set and I will change things up,” he said.
“The crowd makes the show, you could do the same show in different places back to back and the atmosphere could be completely different.”
