Country artist Morgan Wade has decided to take a much-needed break after playing more than 500 shows over the past three and a half years.
The 30-year-old singer told fans that she plans “to take a little break from touring and work on some new things” in an Instagram video posted on Nov. 6.
“I’m going to be taking some time off from touring,” Wade said. “I’m not going to be doing as much as I have been. There are a lot of things that I’m working on outside of the music world. There are a lot of things that I haven’t had time to do, and I’m going to go do that and take a bit of a vacation and experience some life.”
She continued by saying, “It’s going to be a little different next year than it has been” and thanking her fans for their support and dedication.
“I have been to a lot of places that this small town girl never thought that she would get to go to,” Wade said in the video. “I have done a lot of things. I have met a lot of people. And I couldn’t have done any of that without you guys buying tickets and listening to my songs. I’m forever grateful for that. So I really just want to say thank you.”
Wade first broke into the country music scene in 2018 with her self-released album, “Puppets with My Heart.” She followed up with “Reckless,” her full-length debut solo album, in March 2021. The project reached No. 8 on Billboard’s folk albums chart while its lead single “Wilder Days” performed well on the country charts and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
Wade has since released three more albums — “Psychopath” in 2023 “Obsessed” in 2024 and “The Party Is Over (Recovered)” in 2025 — and worked with bigger artists such as Diplo and Kip Moore. She most recently opened for Alanis Morissette’s 2024 Triple Moon Tour, and completed a Canadian acoustic run, Parade noted.
Wade has several December performances scheduled before her break, including shows in Lynchburg and Roanoke, Virginia; Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and Bristol, Tennessee.
