The actress, 61, tried both standing up for her baby bangs in Scream 3 and admitting they were horrible
Fallon had to try the hairstyle himself to reach a verdict
Courteney Cox knows a bad haircut when she sees one.
The actress, 61, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about Scream 7, during which Fallon made mention of Cox’s baby bangs in Scream 3.
“The bangs were my choice. It’s not the way they came out,” Cox clarified, adding, “I only had one set of bangs and they were…”
“Microbangs,” Fallon finished, before noting, “Of course, it’s your beautiful face, so you can pull off anything.”

“No, I can’t,” Cox admitted.
“You didn’t love the bangs?”
“Would you? I mean, look at that. That is the worst hairdo.”
Cox began attempting to explain why they didn’t work when Fallon said he could “pull this off” and put a wig on sporting the very same little bangs.
Cox could barely keep it together as she talked to the host. She said, “You’re so cute, [but this is] the worst you’ve ever looked.
“This is skit-worthy, but do not ever wear those out. They look as bad as this,” she said, gesturing to the photo of herself as Gale with the bangs.
As Fallon tried to direct the conversation back to the new movie while still wearing the wig, Cox remarked, “I don’t know who’s scarier, you or Ghostface?”

In a 2022 interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, Cox lamented about the hairstyle along with Barrymore, who had also tried it out.
“There was nothing worse. That was a big lesson in life because that will forever be on film,” she said in a 2022 interview on The Drew Barrymore Show.
Cox — who starred in six Scream films, including the recent 2023 installment — added that she always wanted to push the boundaries when it came to her costumes, saying that she’d come up with a different look for every film “that was just over the top gross, or ugly or too much.”
