Punchup Live has launched a podcast tool that combines podcast subscriptions, premium content, and live event ticketing within a single platform.
According to the company’s announcement, the tool debuts with two comedy podcasts: “Bein’ Ian W/ Jordan,” hosted by comedians Jordan Jensen and Ian Fidance, and “Tuesdays With Stories,” hosted by comedians Joe List and Mark Normand.
“Our listeners are the same people buying tickets to see Jordan and Ian live,” said James Webb, producer of “Bein’ Ian W/ Jordan.” “Having both in one place just makes sense. It’s how the business actually works.”
Building on Existing Infrastructure
The podcast product extends Punchup Live’s existing suite of creator tools, which includes ticketing infrastructure, analytics, streaming, and digital content distribution. The company previously acquired ticketing platform Tixologi as part of its broader expansion into live commerce capabilities.
The platform will charge creators a 7% fee, positioning the product as an alternative to larger subscription platforms that charge higher standard rates.
Punchup Live, founded by former Meta employees Danny Frenkel and Alex Dajani, is centering its strategy on the live entertainment economy by building ticket sales directly into the creator experience.
