Daphne Joy has poked fun at Cam Newton for the detail in which he watched her sex tape with Diddy and Sly Diggler as preparation for their Funky Friday interview.
Joy, who shares a 13-year-old son with 50 Cent, was a guest on the Friday (June 19) episode of Newton’s popular podcast. Shortly after meeting Joy, around the 15-minute mark of the video below, Newton shared the length of the tape, practically admitting that he watched it in full.
“This is not a joking matter. But what kind of storage was that?” Newton said, insinuating that the video was too long to be phone footage. “‘Cause, golly, the amount of iCloud that was needed was something like, geez, brother.”
Newton then tried to redirect the conversation by asking if Joy considered herself to be in a relationship with the Bad Boy Records founder, but she was more interested in whether the podcaster had watched the full tape.
“I watched a large substantial time. I wouldn’t say all 39 minutes,” Newton claimed, to which Joy coyly asked, “Are you sure?”
“I promise to keep it funky. I promise to keep it a buck. I’m trying to tell you, I needed to do my research,” he joked.
Joy has repeatedly denied that she leaked the tape, which she claims circulated online after a blackmail attempt by Diggler, who’s an adult entertainer. The 39-year-old also claimed in a statement following the video’s release that she she did not consent to being filmed.
“I was blackmailed by the person in the video and was threatened that if I didn’t give him the lump sum of money that they would leak it on the web,” Joy wrote in an Instagram post. “I almost gave in to this demand and once I didn’t, this person eventually sold this tape to a giant media outlet.”
Once the media company realized that the tape was purchased as part of an extortion attempt, they backed off from releasing it. Since the tape’s leak, Joy has made her media rounds, appearing on No Jumper and a livestream with Akademiks, where she spoke about whether p**is size matters.
