Darius Rucker is off the market after hard-launching new relationship

Darius Rucker no longer needs someone to hold his hand.

At least, that is the look of things from reports and his social media activity. The 59-year-old country and rock icon separated from his previous wife, Beth, back in 2020, and now has taken to social media to reveal that he is dating Emily Deahl, according to Taste of Country.

The big tip, per the outlet, was a recent pic that Rucker dropped on Instagram with he and Deahl leaning in and smiling. Rucker wrote, “Wizard of Oz at @spherevegas with my love & my boys. 1000/10!!!!!!”

Rucker is a native of South Carolina, and Taste of Country said that Deahl is also a South Carolina native who “identifies as a singer, songwriter and content creator.”

Taste of Country said there have been clues along the way. Rucker showed off his dogs, Freddie and Larry, on social media about a year ago. And Deahl has shared photos to social media that show her walking the same dogs.

His followers were quick to show support in the replies to his post of the two together.

Happiness looks good on ya!” Justin Wheelon wrote.

“Beautiful,” another wrote. “’I only wanna be with you’ rings true here.”

But, also like all things on social media, there were some haters.

“Really???” one person replied. “Looks a little young for you.”

“Is that his daughter?” another wondered. “Where are the boys?”

“Is your team working hard to hide negative comments?” another asked.

Rucker doesn’t put a ton out there about his personal life so it will be interesting to see if he elaborates more on the relationship at some point.
