Hungry Perth VIPs got an early taste of supersized American venue Dave & Buster’s on Friday as the global chain opened its doors for the very first time in Australian along Clarkson’s Key Largo Drive.
The expansive entertainment complex boasts more than 2000sqm and an 800-person capacity, with 400 guests attending the private launch party ahead of its official Saturday opening.
High-profile guests included actor Lee Tiger Halley of Netflix’s Boy Swallows Universe, as well as former My Kitchen Rules contestants Marko Savic & Danielle Oakman.
They were joined by locals sports figures, businesses, and those who had worked tirelessly behind the scenes over the last two years to bring the venue to life.
In keeping with the American chains’ appeal to sports fans, the evening’s entertainment featured Dave & Buster’s cheerleaders, roller skaters, and Red Bull Dance battles.

More than 75 arcade games were fired up and waiting to be test-driven by guests, while a selection of signature dishes were served throughout the night.
Food favourites at the venue include the Buster Burger, dating back to its Texas foundation in 1982, as well as nachos, fall-off-the-bone wings in the choice of eight toppings, and woodfired pizzas.

The precinct boasts a central 10-metre terrazzo bar which serves a mix of 13 local and imported beers, and 32 high score cocktails, plus mocktails.
Prior to launch, Dave & Buster’s local business development manager Harry Fry said the community had embraced the larger-than-life development.
“There’re always some nerves when you’re launching a new brand and concept into a market, but the Clarkson community has completely embraced it,” Mr Fry told PerthNow.
Those who haven’t yet laid eyes on the precinct are set to be shocked by the sheer size of it.
“It’s going to blow the northern corridor away. But beyond the size, it’s the energy from the moment you walk in — food, drinks, gaming, live sport all under one roof. It’s genuinely fun from the second you arrive,” Mr Fry added.
