Dave Portnoy is making headlines for going off on New York sports fans — and the A-list celebrities who packed courtside seats to watch the New York Knicks take on the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 on Wednesday, June 10.
In a video posted to Instagram on Thursday, June 11, the Barstool Sports founder, 49, didn’t hold back as he vented about what he saw in the arena, claiming he “hates” every celebrity in attendance — including Taylor Swift, whom he’s famously supported over the years.
“I don’t know if it’s my personality or just me being a Boston fan, but…watching their fans celebrate in that arena…people who aren’t even basketball fans, like, just made my skin crawl on a level I can’t even describe,” Portnoy said.

Portnoy said he was so fired up he couldn’t sleep, before launching into a series of name-drops of celebrities seated courtside, in suites, and across “Celebrity Row,” including Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, Scooter Braun, Sydney Sweeney, Hailey Bieber and more.
“I’m sick of her,” Portnoy said of pop star Swift. “Now [Kylie] Jenner is her friend?” he questioned.
“The whole thing, I hate, I hate it all,” he continued.
“Scooter Braun? I’ve hated him. Big [expletive] McGee [Sydney] Sweeney, where is she from? Hate her,” Portnoy added.

“Spike Lee, I hate him,” he said, also throwing Mariska Hargitay in the mix.
“I hate everybody on celebrity row, second row, third row, in the suites. I hate them all. I just hate New York sports fans. They’re so obnoxious.”
Portnoy also called out fans who threw an egg at San Antonio Spurs player Victor Wembanyama, which was captured on video and went viral.
“They’re egging Wembanyama going back to the hotel. They’re rioting in the streets. They’re fighting with cops. I just hate it,” he added.
Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld also were called out by Portnoy, who claimed he loved the shows they created, but “hates” them personally.
Fans, however, quickly pushed back in the comments.
“Hate all you want, that was THE BEST comeback in NBA Finals History. Knicks fans or not, that game was amazing!” one Instagram user commented.
“Boston will always be the second city,” another said.
“Lol go do pizza reviews in Boston,” another commented.
“Right because Boston is so classy. It was 99.999% good vibes,” a fourth wrote.
