Dayseeker have shared a new cinematic music video for their track ‘Crawl Back To My Coffin’, taken from their upcoming record Creature In The Black Night.

Dayseeker fans are eating good this album rollout as the Southern Californian metalcore group has been dropping killer after killer track with stunning music videos alongside them. Today, the band shares a new cinematic music video for their track ‘Crawl Back To My Coffin’, taken from their upcoming sixth studio album, Creature In The Black Night, releasing this Friday (October 24) via Spinefarm.

In a statement, vocalist Rory Rodriguez would describe the song as a “metaphor for love that hurts you when you’re guarded and causes your walls to go up even further. The excitement in meeting someone new when you’re ‘dead’ and feeling like they bring you back to life, only to feel pain and wish you had never left your grave at the end of it.”

The track and music video cement Dayseekers’ lush, yet darkly romantic style, which has seen them become one of metalcore’s leading bands in recent years.

The video was directed by Jensen Noen, who has recently directed twenty one pilots‘ ‘City Walls’ music video and Amy Lee, Poppy and Courtney LaPlante’s collab track ‘End of You‘.

Following their heavily acclaimed 2022 LP, Dark Sun, the band’s sixth project, Creature In The Black Night, is a surprising turn for the group as they explore their horror inspirations to explore darker themes.

Produced by Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Silent Planet) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Blink-182, Bring Me The Horizon, Lorna Shore), Creature In The Black of Night goes all in with its dark, yet intoxicating atmosphere, sending listeners down the rabbit hole through all 11 tracks.

In a statement following the release of their first single from the album, ‘Pale Moonlight’, Rodriguez opened up about themes of the new record and hinted at a darker, sinister sound. “This album is about the personal issues I’ve dealt with, trying to navigate life as our band becomes a little more successful,” shared Rodriguez. “I’m alive and functioning as a human, but maybe not experiencing and feeling things as much as I should.”
