Alternative quartet Daytime TV made a return to the live stage in London, debuting new tracks for fans.

Listen to the new single ‘Pause’ HERE

Last week the band released the explosive new single ‘Pause’ and their exclusive show at Shoreditch’s Old Blue Last saw fans packing out the Old Blue Last in Soho.

The band played new songs ‘Creatures’, ‘Sun’, ‘Meditate’ and ‘Anger MGMT’, as well as old favourites ‘So Sick’, ‘Lost in Tokyo’, ‘Block out the noise’ and  ‘Little Victories’.

The gig was put on by Marshall and included support acts Blush Puppy and False Heads.

It’s six months since Daytime TV played a show and 18 months since they played in London. Tickets to this exclusive show were snapped up in minutes.

The band took the opportunity to introduce new tracks including the supremely catchy ‘Sun’ and ‘Meditate’.

‘Anger MGMT’ was an immediate live favourite with fans bouncing around the packed venue, joining in with the chorus – followed by a barnstorming rendition of new single ‘Pause’.

The set ended with an epic ‘Little Victories’, with Will saying: “If you know the words to this, please sing it as loud as you f*cking can.” and every person in the room did.

There were cries of “one more song” and an unplanned and celebratory ‘Digital Light’ followed.

“We did not plan this, we did not rehearse this but we’re going to give it a shot,” said Will. “You guys are going to have to sing triple as loud because I might not remember the words.”

Daytime TV will return to bigger stages later this year, with some huge singles in the coming months.

‘Pause’, released on Marshall Records, was forged in the turbulence of the modern world, a visceral response to society seemingly spinning out of control. It marks a definitive shift for the band, fusing their signature “arena-ready ambition” (Kerrang!) with a darker, electronic pulse that mirrors the relentless intensity of the 2026 landscape, juxtaposing soaring, pounding energy with a computer-voice command to halt the chaos.

The song was written by singer Will Irvine and guitarist John Caddick, alongside renowned writer and producer Larry Hibbitt (Nothing But Thieves, Sundara Karma). The track blossomed into its final form when the band hooked up with one of the UK’s most exciting new producers in Pete Hutchings (Foals / Royal Blood / Adele / The Amazons).

‘Pause’ comes with an intense new music video from director Matt Chandler.

Building on the momentum of a year spent in creative seclusion and a legacy of standout performances at BST Hyde Park and Mad Cool Festival, Daytime TV are no longer just “rising stars”; they are positioning themselves as the sonic conscience of a generation feeling the weight of a world “speeding towards a cliff edge“.
