Overhead Originals is a new original content project from Delta and YouTube Premium that brings a live performance into an unexpected place: a Delta Boeing 767. A new creative expression of Delta and YouTube’s partnership, Overhead Originals taps into a unique musical performance to explore how culture, creativity and travel intersect. By offering viewers a new way to experience music through the lens of the journey itself, Delta and YouTube are reimagining how culture and travel can create moments of connection at every step. The exclusive original content is now available to enjoy on Delta’s YouTube channel and will extend to Delta’s in-flight entertainment this summer.
Three-time GRAMMY award-winning R&B star Leon Thomas introduces the project with an intimate, live performance recorded on a Delta aircraft. For Thomas, whose music blends soul, reflection and storytelling, the setting was intentional. Travel has long shaped his creative process – offering space to slow down, take in new perspectives and create from a reflective headspace. That perspective carries through the performance, reflecting the role new environments play in shaping what we create.
A performance designed to travel
While the live performance was experienced by a small audience of SkyMiles Members and Delta frontline employees, it was created to travel far beyond the cabin. The performance is now available exclusively on YouTube before it joins the award-winning content on Delta’s in-flight entertainment this summer.

Overhead Originals builds on Delta’s long-standing commitment to elevating the in-flight entertainment experience – one designed to give customers more ways to enjoy the content they love while onboard and make their seat in the sky feel more like the seat in their living room. Through fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi on nearly 1,200 aircraft and over 165,000 seatback screens, customers can access premium entertainment from YouTube and other new partners at scale.
