Ever since the show premiered in June 2022, folks have been deeply invested in the world of Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) and his struggles opening his first restaurant. The Bear is expected to return to Hulu for season 5 sometime this year—but what about after that?
Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Carmy’s mom, Donna, seemingly teased what’s going on with an emotional post on Instagram. The photo shows her in costume, and fans can see her sitting alongside her TV daughter, Abby Elliott, who portrays Carmy’s sister, Natalie, a.k.a. “Sugar.” She wrote how special the experience has been for her.
“FINISHED STRONG!” she wrote in the caption on February 17. “Surrounded by an extraordinary crew and group of writers and producers and scene partners on the show that Chris Storer created, completing the story of this extraordinary family that we have all fallen in love with. Got to finish it out with my baby Berzatto bear, @lilcutieforever @thebearfx.”
Although Jamie didn’t share exactly what would happen to the show, many were concerned by the post.
“Are we on the final season omg,” one person asked in the comments. “Last season confirmed? 😭,” another cried out. “No!!!! We need MORE of you!!! 😭😭😭,” a different follower begged.
Hulu hasn’t said anything about the fate of The Bear. But we hope it returns for at least one more season.
