Curious to know which Disney+ shows have been canceled in 2025? Generally, it’s the lack of viewership and profitability factor that drives several streaming giants to end a show’s run. On the contrary, some series have naturally ended.
So, here is a compilation article of all the shows that have ended or have been canceled in 2025.
Every Disney+ show that got canceled or ended in 2025
Goosebumps Season 3 (Canceled)
Goosebumps is a supernatural series based on R. L. Stine’s book series. It follows the journey of five high-schoolers, who investigate the mystery of a teen, Harold Biddle’s, demise. Meanwhile, they also discover shocking secrets about their parents’ past.
The show ran for two seasons, concluding in January 2025. Although the series garnered impressive viewership, Variety reported that the series will not get a Season 3. A source with awareness about the situation told the outlet that Sony is planning to pitch the show to other outlets. They are also looking to explore new creative directions for the series.
Andor Season 2 (Ended Naturally)
Andor Season 3 couldn’t see the light of day as the makers had already planned to end the show with Season 2. Earlier, it was announced that the series will possibly have five seasons, each one covering a year of the main character’s life. However, the creator felt it wasn’t a feasible idea as the series’ scope was huge and there were time constraints.
In a conversation with SFX, creator Tony Gilroy revealed when it struck them to reduce the length of the series. He said, “We were halfway through shooting season 1 and the monumental size of the show, the effort, and everything else was just dawning on us.”
Doctor Who Season 3 (Might Get Revived Elsewhere)
At the time of writing, Doctor Who Season 3 has neither been canceled nor renewed by Disney+ or the BBC. Although there’s no update on its continuation, a rumor suggests that the BBC is exploring new streaming options for its revival. Reputed scooper, Daniel Richtman, claimed that “Doctor Who is only dead at Disney, but there are active talks to revive it elsewhere, and things are looking promising.”
