(celebrity.land) – Country music icon Dolly Parton is apologizing to her fans for missing another event with them.
The 79-year-old was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Monday.
Parton couldn’t attend the ceremony but accepted the award virtually.
It honors her theme park, Dollywood, in Tennessee.
In an Instagram video, she reminded fans about her health issues and apologized.
“Well, hey there, it’s Dolly,” Parton said in the video. “And I sure wish I could be with you in person today, but you probably heard that I’ve been dealing with a few health challenges this fall, and my doctors told me to take it easy for just a little while. And I’m truly sorry I can’t be there.”
Dollywood celebrated its 40th anniversary this year.
Parton said she is only the second woman ever inducted into the organization’s hall of fame.
In September, the singer postponed a series of December concerts in Las Vegas due to health challenges.
