Donald Trump Jr. has attributed delays in his wedding to his father’s conflict with Iran.
The eldest son of President Donald Trump is set to tie the knot with socialite Bettina Anderson. However, with a fragile ceasefire in effect and no official agreement between the US and Iran being finalized, sources close to the couple indicate the ceremony is on hold until the conflict concludes.
“They will have a celebration at the due time, at the White House but you know they’re waiting for the right moment because of what’s happening in the world. They want to wait until that settles,” a source from the couple’s inner circle revealed.
When asked if the Iran conflict was specifically causing the postponement, the source confirmed, “That is what I believe is happening.
“They’re waiting and so they may have a very, very intimate, extremely intimate celebration at the White House, just family members,” the source told the Daily Mail. “But still, when it’s appropriate. And at the moment it’s not appropriate. If everything sorts itself out and it’s a good time to do it. But not right now.”
After a year of courtship, Trump Jr., 48, proposed to the 39-year-old socialite last December at Camp David, reports The Mirror.
Anderson held her wedding shower at Mar-a-Lago two weeks ago, where guests attended an Enchanted Garden-themed luncheon in a ballroom within the venue’s main mansion.
Neither Melania nor Donald Trump attended the event, however Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump, Lara Trump and Marla Maples did.
The couple is reportedly contemplating a White House wedding, with the yet-to-be-constructed ballroom being considered as a potential venue. While the project remains entangled in legal proceedings, the ballroom is anticipated to be completed sometime between late 2028 and early 2029.
“This [a White House wedding] would set them up for future political roles, whether Don Jr. goes after the presidency or something else,” a source said. “This is a consideration.”

Anderson is set to become Trump Jr.’s second wife, following his 13-year marriage to Vanessa Trump, which ended in divorce in 2018.
The former couple share five children together. Vanessa is currently in a relationship with Tiger Woods.
Four years after finalizing his divorce to 2018, it was revealed that Trump Jr. had got engaged to Gavin Newsom’s ex-wife, Kimberly Guilfoyle. However, the couple ultimately parted ways at the end of 2024.
He was spotted holding hands and vacationing with Anderson before the split with Guilfoyle went public.
Trump Jr. and his current fiancée made their first joint public appearance just months later at his father’s inauguration.
