Donna Kelce has talked for the first time about her son Travis’ wedding to Taylor Swift.
The 74-year-old mother of the groom was asked to give some details about the couple’s star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden on July 3.
“I really can’t say a heck of a lot except it was magical, man, magical,” she said in an interview that appeared on Macy’s Instagram.
Donna had been seen arriving in New York on 2 July before attending the rehearsal dinner.
Only a few details have been made public about the wedding.
“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture,” a statement said after the ceremony. “They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.”
The ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler. Another source told People, “Taylor walked down the aisle to a stage where they said ‘I do,’ (and) their vows were about 20 minutes each. After the ceremony, Taylor’s mom invited everyone into the reception room where a stage was set up (for guest performers).”
Swift didn’t have any bridesmaids. Instead, she had her brother Austin, as her Man of Honour. Travis had his brother Jason as his best man.
There were reportedly special performances from Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks.
