Youngstown Symphony Orchestra

Downtown Youngstown will offer a mix of live music, arts, culture and community events over the next week, including two concerts at Stambaugh Auditorium.

The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra will perform “Inextinguishable” at 7:30 tonight at Stambaugh Auditorium. The program will feature Mussorgsky’s “Dawn on the Moskva River,” Anna Thorvaldsdottir’s “ARCHORA,” Mendelssohn’s “Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage” and Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No. 4, “The Inextinguishable.”

Music continues Sunday with the 2026 #LoveMusic Legacy Concert at 3 p.m. at Stambaugh Auditorium. Alumni, colleagues and friends of the late Dr. Stephen L. Gage will come together for a performance featuring orchestra and wind ensemble selections, including “Die Fledermaus,” “Robin Hood” and “Blue Shades.”

Additional events happening downtown through Thursday include:

Latin Night, 9 p.m. today at The Social.

Country Line Dancing, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. today at Penguin City Brewing Company.

Ballet Western Reserve Spring Gala, 3 p.m. Saturday at DeYor Performing Arts Center.

Penguin City Foodie Fest, featuring more than 20 local food vendors and live music, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Penguin City Brewing Company.

BYOB Brunch, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Penguin City Brewing Company.

Studio 32 Spring Recital, 3 p.m. Sunday at Powers Auditorium at DeYor Performing Arts Center.

Workshop: Writing Through Grief, 6 p.m. Tuesday at Main Library, 305 Wick Ave.

R&B Bingo, 8 p.m. to midnight Tuesday at Twisted Roots.

History of Youngstown and Mahoning Valley Restaurants, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Main Library, 305 Wick Ave. The lecture will explore the history of local restaurants and dining culture, including ethnic cuisine, corporate chains and iconic Valley establishments.

NEUR Networks: Connecting & Communicating for Creatives, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at Concept Studio.

Senior Art & Learn 2026, 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Butler Institute of American Art.

Pop Up on Phelps, 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Phelps Street Gateway.

Penguin City Night Market, 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Penguin City Brewing Company.

Trivia Night with Gregg, 7 p.m. Thursday at Noble Creature Wild Ales & Lagers.

Thirsty Thursday Karaoke, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday at Penguin City Brewing Company.

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber, a partner in advancing downtown redevelopment, said it continues to help connect businesses and organizations so local retailers, restaurants and bars can prepare for the city’s growing schedule of events.
