DPAC announced five new shows for the 2026-2027 season.

From circus tricks to 1970s hits, performers are set to bring new shows to the stage in North Carolina.
The Durham Performing Arts Center announced that more productions are joining its lineup.
“DPAC is proud to announce the return of five fan-favorite hits in the 2026 / 2027 season, including the highly anticipated return of ‘Twas the Night Before… by Cirque Du Soleil and four more of Broadway’s biggest shows,” the entertainment venue wrote in a Tuesday, March 31 news release.
Here’s what to know about the five Triangle shows and when you can get tickets.
When and where are the shows?
The newly announced shows are scheduled to run from October through March. Here’s the list:
- “Mrs. Doubtfire” — Oct. 30-Nov. 1, 2026
- “‘Twas the Night Before…” by Cirque Du Soleil — Nov. 25-Dec. 6, 2026
- “Mamma Mia!” — Dec. 29, 2026-Jan. 3, 2027
- “Waitress” — Feb. 5-7, 2027
- “Hadestown”— March 5-7, 2027
The shows were added a month after the venue announced it would be hosting other Broadway favorites, The News & Observer reported. Here are the other performances on the schedule:
- “Buena Vista Social Club” — Sept. 22-27, 2026
- “Maybe Happy Ending” — Oct. 13-18, 2026
- “Death Becomes Her” — Nov. 10-15, 2026
- “The Bodyguard” — Dec. 8-13, 2026
- “Wicked” — March 31-April 18, 2027
- “Operation Mincemeat” — May 11-16, 2027
- “Phantom of the Opera” — May 26-June 6, 2027
- “Just in Time” — July 13-18, 2027
The shows are planned for DPAC, located at 123 William V Bill Bell Way in downtown Durham. Parking is available at nearby decks.
The updated schedule was revealed after the event venue’s 2025-26 schedule featured “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast,” “The Great Gatsby” and other shows, The N&O reported.
How to get tickets
“Tickets for each of the five shows will go on sale later this summer and fall, depending on the show title,” Josette Roten, director of marketing and sales for DPAC, told The N&O in a Tuesday, March 31 email.
