A driver who crashed into a Virginia pet grooming business Wednesday was injured, but authorities say no people or pets inside were harmed.
Chesterfield County Fire and EMS said crews responded to a pet grooming business in a strip mall on the 15800 block of Route 1 in Colonial Heights at around 11:18 a.m. Wednesday after a driver crashed into the building.
The fire department said the driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. No people or pets inside the business were harmed.
Photos shared by the fire department show a white sedan with its crumpled front end partially inside the building. A wall is damaged, along with the groomer’s glass front doors.
The fire department said its technical rescue team responded to ensure the building was structurally sound before clearing the scene.
