Dua Lipa will always find a way to have fun—with her music, with her busy touring schedule, and with her fashion.
This weekend, she kicked off springtime dressing with a healthy dose of fun, slipping into a white mesh midi skirt with a feathered hem. Carnival-style feathers covered the bottom half of the piece, which was otherwise semi-sheer and skintight, hugging Lipa’s thighs. It was seemingly held in place at the hips with a stretchy waistband and little ties, and the pop star paired it with a slinky white top.
But the festive, swan-like set was only the beginning. For the rest of her look, the “Houdini” singer reached for some Western staples. Over her top, she layered on a bulky workwear-style jacket in sandy-brown suede, with a bomber-style silhouette. Silver studs decorated the collar.
To go with the aesthetic, she accessorized with a chocolate-brown leather belt featuring a large gold buckle, plus a suede bag and glossy peep-toe stilettos in the same rich shade.
A cool diamond hoop earring stack, some layered chain necklaces, and a glossy black mani-pedi rounded out the fit. As for makeup, Lipa went with her usual subtly shimmery shadow and glossy deep-pink lip.
Lipa is not the only It girl who has been embracing midi skirts for the start of spring. Hailey Bieber served up plenty of style inspiration involving the staple this past weekend, having stepped out in a mesh, fringe-trimmed piece as well as in a leather skirt that she styled with a little beige sweater.
