Video: Are these Hallmark Christmas movie titles real or fake?
It’s that time of year! Are these Hallmark movie titles real or fake? We put downtown Cincinnatians to the test.
Looking for small-town love with a good-looking, plaid-shirted stranger? Look no farther than Dublin, Ohio.
If that description sounds like a cheesy Hallmark plot, it’s because a recent analysis by Action Network pinpointed Dublin as the Ohio city most similar to those charming burgs of made-for-TV filmdom.
The major sports betting media company gathered data on more than 3,000 U.S. towns, limiting the field to populations between 3,000 and 50,000 people. The 2020 U.S. Census recorded 49,328 Dublin residents.
Small business count, historic landmarks per 1,000 residents, and winter snowfall were examined, and the top-ranked city in each state was deemed its “most Hallmark-like.”
We can’t promise a random meet-cute moment with Plaid Shirt Hottie, but Action Network guarantees that Dublin offers a thriving community of 11,112 small businesses; one historical site per 1,000 residents; and an average December snowfall of 2 inches.
