The Duchess of Edinburgh beamed as she made a new poignant appearance today in London. Duchess Sophie honoured fallen cavalry soldiers at a parade and memorial service in Hyde Park.
Sophie, who is Royal Colonel of the Queen’s Own Yeomanry, looked stunning in a light blue ensemble and a burnt orange hat, while she also donned the regiment’s running fox cap badge as she attended the parade and service.
The duchess laid down wreaths at the Cavalry of the Empire Memorial, which the parade marches past, 102 years after the monument was unveiled.
